Sometimes it’s fun to be the first of your friends to show up wearing the season’s hottest trend or most-wanted bag. Here’s an opportunity that will guarantee you’ll be the most fashion forward person in your group.

Have you heard of Lise (pronounced “Leez”) Watier (sounds similar to Cartier) cosmetics? I hadn’t, and I’m pretty sure most Americans haven’t either. The Canadian-based beauty company invited me and eight other bloggers on what the industry calls a “press trip.” That means they fly us out, put us up in a hotel and host us during our stay. We arrived in their hometown of Montreal and quickly realized this brand is the Canadian’s equivalent of Estee Lauder! They’re major in Canada and are soon to be as big in the states now that they’ve just launched an e-commerce website in the US (lisewatier.us). Now you can be one of the first to get your hands on these beauty products. If you need help shopping, keep reading because I’ll be sharing my fave products this week.

But first, here are highlights from my time in Montreal!

DAY 1…

Lise Watier gifted us these custom iPhone cases and beauty goodies upon our arrival.

Got a pick-me-up post flight with a light snack and delicious macaroons from Birks Cafe Par Europea – an elegant restaurant in Birks, which is like the Canadian version of Tiffany.

Lodging at the lovely Hotel St. Paul in old Montreal.

We toured the city V.I.P. Style!

Stopping by the Lise Watier beauty counter at the department store. That’s me and Rachel, head of public relations for the brand.

We got to have a private meeting with the talented Canadian fashion designer Eve Gravel (pronounced Grahvel), and she gave us a tour of her workshop. I fell in love with her collection — cool and affordable.

Thanks Eve for gifting us these awesome infinity scarfs!

Attending the Lise Watier launch party for their US shopping site complete with mani bar, photo booth and entertainment.

I’m eating lipstick! J.K. They served white chocolate covered lipsticks that look exactly like the real thing for dessert. Thought this was so cute and clever.

Stay tuned for Day 2 highlights! I’ll be revealing the final shots from my Lise Watier photo shoot, the products I think you should put on your shopping list and more.
