The last time I wore department store perfume, DKNY Splash to be exact, I was in high school. I’m not an everyday fragrance wearer. I wear it for special occasions like a vacation or a wedding. I pick and choose my scent like a wine snob.TI’m not an everyday fragrance wearer. I wear it for special occasions like a vacation or a wedding. I pick and choose my scent like a wine snob. It has to be original, authentic and memorable; no synthetic smells for me. My scent for 2014 is Âmes Sœurs roll-on perfume. (It means Scent of Soul Mates). The juice is sophisticated and rich but not too musky. There’s no sweetness here. It’s all about sensuality. The blend of tamarind, grapefruit, rose bulgar and cedarwood, amongst other notes, takes on a vintage quality and specificity that makes you feel special wearing it. And while the oil smells expensive, it’s only $28 on joyastudio.com. Click here for another one of my favorite scents.
