January Jones: Chic chignonCelebrity hair stylist Mark Townsend used the Mad Men star’s architectural Versaci number as the inspiration for her updo.Step 1. Mark sprayed Biolage Bodifying Spray Gel ($14.99) on damp hair and blow dried it with a medium round brush.Step 2. Since January’s hair is short, he pulled and pinned the hair back in sections, one at a time. Mark wanted the style to look like a textured chignon and by pinning sections at the back, he was able to achieve exactly that.Step 3. He finished with hairspray to give the style some hold, and let some hair fall loose around the front to catch the light and to give it more of a “fashion” look.
Vanessa Williams: Glam eyes, flawless skin, coral lips.Skin: Legendary makeup artist Sam Fine started with Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick ($40), a cream formula, to get lasting coverage. “It’s a long night, with long hours and we don’t get to go with them,” says Sam. He followed with a matte bronzer to contour the face.Eyes: Vanessa’s vibrant dress stole the color show so Sam focused on neutrals to accentuate the eyes. “I never match the gown,” he says. To create this look he chose a brown eye shadow and applied a shimmer pearl near the inner corners. He lined the inside with a beige liner and completed the eye with false lashes and a few coats of mascara on the top and bottom lids.
