The one thing that gets us through winter is thinking about our next beach vacation. Considering we haven’t bought a new suit since having kids, we knew we were due and went shopping for us and you. Trust us, you need at least 1 of these before your next vacation. We went with 2 (suits 4 and 6 shown below), perfect for petites.

The ’60s-inspired fashion trend spilled into swimwear, and this one with a bandeau top and a high waisted bottom is slimming, sexy and timeless.

This suit has lots of frills, yet another 2015 trend. The placement is much appreciated as the flounce gives us less busty girls some much needed oopmh on top.

We love a one-piece because it’s comfortable, and you don’t have to worry about anything falling out. Along the same lines, some may say it’s boring. Not this oneFrom the neon to the cut-outs, this suit is hot enough to land in the pages of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue.

Bright colors pop against a blue sky and sea. We love this bold pattern, but what really sets this suit apart is its construction. It’s not technically a shaper, but when we tried it on, we felt that the lines and structure compressed and boosted our bits in the all the right places.

Last season sportswear was a huge fashion trend. Now it’s diving into swim. We love that athletic suits aren’t just for doing laps anymore. These new styles like this one can hold their own when you’re taking a lap around the pool.

Paddleboarding and surfing are popular, but that’s not why we love this suit. We bought it to wear as advertised. We also plan to wear the top as a regular shirt with jeans and shorts.

This brand is making some of my absolute favorite bathing suits right now. The print and cut on this one is sophisticated, and it’s possibly the most high fashion of the bunch.

Every woman should have a black suit. It’s the same concept as an LBD. It goes with everything, it will never go out of style and black is always slimming. This one fits the bill.
