nicole pearlI pretty much live in my glasses. Finding the perfect pair isn’t easy. Apparently, I have a smaller face than the norm because most frames I try on swallow me. With that said, I was happy to learn about a new website called Iristocracy. It showcases fashionable lines including Rag & Bone, The Row, and Vera Wang, and the best part is that you can literally try on the styles while sitting on your couch.

The "Virtual Try On" feature enables you to see what each frame looks like on your face so you can knock out the ones that don’t work from the getgo. I’ve wanted prescription sunglasses for years but never got around to it and liked that I could watch The Bachelor and try on glasses during the commercial break. See…

After "trying on" the glasses, I took advantage of another perk the brand offers. Their Retail Try-On Kit. It’s a similar concept as Warby Parker in that you can choose eyewear, in this case 4 pairs, and they’ll ship it (free of charge). You buy the frame you want and return the rest. But what’s different is that Iristocracy sends the package directly to a retail eye store near you. I didn’t realize how convenient this was until I went to the retail store near me, Glasses LTD, to check out my picks in person. I liked having a professional in my corner who was able to help with fit and so forth. I ended up choosing these classic black Philip Lim sunglasses that I added my perscription to, and I’m so happy with my decision. Finally I’ve found a frame that’s oversize but not overwhelming. And of course The Beauty Girl in me appreciates that it also protects the delicate skin around my eyes.

What do you think of my new sunnies?
