Fingers crossed Chiberia is behind us, and we can look forward to warmer weather starting with Spring Break. To help speed the process along, I’ve already shared my bathing suit wish list. The other must-have for a successful trip is to have your skincare "in case of emergency" product as I like to call it. You can’t predict the next time you’ll get a zit, and if it happens when you’re traveling, you need a dependable treatment that will help to take care of the issue without making a mess.

I’ve always been a fan of a drying lotion. A new one has entered the scene, and the best part about it is that, in my opinion, the price blows the competition away. AcneFree Drying Lotion works overnight to treat the pimple without over-drying the skin. At just under $6, AcneFree Drying Lotion contains salicylic acid to unclog pores and calamine lotion to calm the treated area so you simultanelously treat the breakout without over-drying the skin. The key to using this spot treatment correctly is to make sure you don’t shake the bottle before use. The pink sediment should sit on the bottom while the top half should consist of clear liquid. Before bed, dip a cotton swab into the bottom of the bottle and dab it directly on the breakout. You’ll go to sleep with a pink dot on your face, but it absorbs into the whitehead, helping to treat and reduce the breakout while you sleep. . I’m fortunate that acne isn’t a big issue for me, but I never know when it’s going to strike. For that reason, this is one product I always pack as back-up.
