Night shot of the Louvre

They say if you put a lock on the Pont De Arts bridge, it’s a symbol of everlasting love. We took part in the tradition. We brought a lock to Paris, personalized it with our anniversary date and note to our son. The experience was romantic and exhilarating as we thought about Rex one day visiting Paris and finding our lock on that bridge.

Another reason to love Paris…the man-made beach along the Seine for all to enjoy day and night. If you go to Paris in the summer, skip the nightclub and go there.
Sunset at the restaurant Georges in the Centre Pompidou. Amazing view of the city (see top photo. It was taken there). The cafes and bistros were lovely, but we’ve never dined in a more beautiful room than the Cristal Room in the Baccarat museum. I can see why Karl Lagerfeld and other fashion greats entertain here. After dinner you can walk around the museum. The Luxembourg gardens took our breath away. This is a spot to take in the view and watch the world go by. A view of Sacre Coeur — reminds me of my wedding cake, shown below. What’s a trip to Paris without shopping. My new Isabel Marant shoes have quickly become my prized possession. A must-do: a trip to King’s Falafel in the Marais. It was the best! What’s more romantic than a carnival in the gardens. From the games to the confections, our last night in Paris was as sweet as can be.
