I recently added a new feature to the blog that lets you virtually try on makeup (foundation, eye shadow, lip gloss, etc.), and if you like what you see, you can buy it that instant. There’s a nice assortment of brands including Laura Mercier and MAC. You can also try on different hair styles and hair colors. This tool is called Get A Makeover. You can find it by putting your mouse over the "Beauty" category in the navigation bar at the top of the screen so the drop-down menu appears. You’ll see "Get A Makeover" listed at the bottom, and you can click on that. Or you can click on the above image, which will always appear in the right-hand column of the site. What I like about this tool is that you can upload a photo of yourself to get a more accurate idea of how these colors and styles will actually look on you. And if you’re into something you "try on," you can literally buy it right then and there. I’m all for making things easier, and this does just that.
