People ask If I get nervous going on TV. Of course I don’t want to make a fool of myself! There’s no chance of a redo, so I carefully prepare for each of my segments. But when the red light comes on the camera, and the audience starts clapping, all I can do is be in the moment. That’s actually one of the reasons why I have come to love live TV. During these 5 short minutes when I’m on-air, I am present, I’m in the moment and tuned into the energy in the studio. I don’t meditate or claim to know exactly what it means to “live in the moment,” but I sure do feel like I’m practicing this when I’m doing my thing on TV, and it is a great feeling.

Recently I was back on Windy City Live. I only had 24 hours to whip this summer beauty segment together, and I’m so happy with how it turned out. P.S. Scroll down to see behind-the-scenes photos and to shop the products I featured.

Setting up in the studio!

I call this my rainbow dress, and I got it for under $100 at the Cynthia Rowley sample sale.
