Pretty much until I was in 8th grade, my mom did my hair every morning before school. She gave me a French braid and wrapped a satin ribbon that matched whatever color I was wearing around the elastic band. If I had a photo of me in my signature hairstyle I’d post it, but first I need to go digging through boxes to find one. I have fond memories of my braids, but I’m by no means a braid expert.
