Pay It Forward--Products That Give Back Year Round

Posted on Nov. 16, 2012

Holiday season is a time when we give thanks. But why not keep the appreciation going? That’s what these companies are doing. They donate percentages of their profits throughout the entire year to amazing causes. Since we all love to shop, start with these great products from jewelry to shoes that you can buy any time of year and know your money is going to help someone else as well as you. Happy Thanksgiving!

SAME SKY JEWELRY: The  glass bead jewelry (necklaces, bracelets, etc.) has a big celeb following with fans including Jessica Alba, Goldie Hawn and Halle Berry. The best part is that this a fair-trade company that trains, employs and empowers women in Rwanda.

FACE WATCH: This brand new watch supports six different causes. You pick which cause such as aids, hunger, breast cancer, to name a few, you want to support depending on the color watch you pick. The watches are only $40 and since they became available October 1st, they’ve been a huge hit.

TOMS SHOES: Toms is a leader when it comes to do-gooding and they’ve inspired other companies to follow suit. Whenever you purchase a pair of Toms, they donate a pair  to a child in need. The brand has expanded to eyewear and is now providing treatment to the visually impaired with each pair of glasses sold.

BEAUTY PRODUCTS: Tons of beauty brands are giving back. Lise Watier's Sparkle of Hope Lip Gloss is a gorgeous translucent shimmer that goes over any lip color to add a beautiful shimmer. Philosophy and LUSH are also doing their job: For example, 100% of proceeds from Lush’s Charity Pot Hand & Body Lotion are donated to grassroots charities.
