Get Adele's Louboutin Grammy Mani
Feb 15, 2012
We expected Adele to be this year's Grammy darling, but who knew her nails would be the topic that blew up on twitter. The singer surprised us sporting dagger-shaped nails inspired by Louboutins. Here's how to do it yourself, courtesy of Nailtini.
1. Trying to paint the underside of your natural nail might be difficult and too messy to work with, even for skilled professionals. Use artificial nails or tips instead. Trim or file your natural nail down so it can’t be seen over the tip of your finger. Size artificial nails to all 10 fingers and set aside.
2. Paint the underside of each nail/tip with two coats of a classic red lacquer and allow the polish to dry completely. Apply 1-2 drops of nail glue to artificial nail and press onto nail bed holding in place until it sets. Repeat for all nails. Quick tip: Be careful not to use too much – you don’t want it seeping out the sides.
3. Paint tops of nails with your choice color, and then embellish with rhinestones or a glitter topcoat like Nailtini Sparkler.
Shop Nicole Miller at JCPenney
Feb 2, 2012There’s nothing quite like the exhilarating rush you get from scoring a great designer deal. Many of my favorite pieces, like my Proenza Schouler for Target dress, are the ones I've been snatching up since the beginning -- when Target first launched its now hugely popular designer collections. Other companies like JCPenney have wisely followed in this lucrative trend, and the spring Nicole by Nicole Miller line at JCPenney has some new additions and adorable looks. Nicole Miller has been doing the line for JCPenney since 2005, but sleepwear, sunglasses, fine jewelry, and bridal jewelry have just been added to the collection. See what we’re lusting over. (P.S. It's all under $100!)

Get Bella's Wedding Dress Worn in "Breaking Dawn"
Dec 7, 2011First it was a princess -- now it's a heroine. This year's most coveted wedding dresses can be yours...
In the recently released The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, Kirsten Stewart's character Bella walked down the aisle in a sleek, body-hugging number designed by Carolina Herrera. To many brides-to-be delight, the gorgeous satin gown has been recreated by designer Alfred Angelo to a tee. Sold on the designer's website for $799, it has the same lace covered sleeves, cut-out illusion back with a Chantilly-inspired lace applique trim, fabric-covered buttons down the back, and chapel train.
Beyond the dress, there's no room for error when it comes to makeup on your wedding day. It has to look pristine from the moment you walk down the aisle to the time the final song is played. Or, in the case of shooting the wedding scene, Stewart was able to keep her bridal look in tact with the help of Dr. Hauschka Moisturizing Day Cream. Her makeup artist dabbed it on her forehead, cheek bones and cheeks to keep her skin glowing.

Marni Designs Spring 2012 Collection for H&M!
Nov 29, 2011
Breaking Fashion News: Marni, one of my favorite designers, is creating a Spring collection for H&M! There will be clothes and accessories including shoes, bags, jewelry and scarves (I'm already salivating over the sandals) for men and women. Expect vivid colors and bold prints for the ladies and softer shades and prints as accents for the guys. The line will debut March 8, and I'm prediciting this collaboration will bring in the crowds and chaos like Missoni for Target did. So get online or in line early and be prepared to shop 'til you drop.
Here's a sneak peek at the collection!
Do you prefer the makeup or no makeup look?
Nov 29, 2011
Few films resonate deeply with me. Like Crazy did. It's a pure story about raw, young love. There are no cheesy romantic comedy bits or action-packed car chases. It's simply a simple movie with soul told through the eyes of two budding actors -- Anton Yelchin and Felicty Jones, a British actress who I think is the next "it" girl. She's just been named the new face of Dolce&Gabbana The Make Up. Here she is all done up with makeup in the cosmetic company's ad campaign (left). To the right is a photo of Felicity as her casual character Anna. Which look do you prefer?
Would You Wear The Latest Celeb Fashion Trend -- the "hand bracelet"?
Nov 5, 2011
I remember the days of playing Pretty Pretty Princess—whoever stacked up the most
jewels by the end of the game was crowned the prettiest princess. Little girls and women alike find ways to ice anything and everything on their bodies. From our crowns and ears, to our necks and fingers, to even our Queen V’s, no area is left unfrosted. But unless you’re a queen, or a 4 year old playing Pretty Pretty Princess, wearing a tiara, 10 rings, 7 cuffs, 3 necklaces and a pair of earrings is just downright tacky. While Kim Kardashian
drips herself in more diamonds in the pursuit of her fairytale ending, us common folk have the celebrity jewelry trend, “hand bracelets,” to keep our princess dreams satiated.
Stars including Katy Perry, Giuliana Rancic and Victoria Justice are adorning their palms with this statement piece by Prive Jewellery (pictured above right), which is a cross between a bracelet cuff and a tiara. And even this past week, Nicole Scherzinger wore an eye-catching hand bracelet on "X Factor." Would you wear this trend? We want to know. Vote below! (posted by Cody)

A Safe Frizz-Fighting Treatment
Oct 31, 2011“Everything good in life is either immoral, illegal or fattening.” During her badgirl phase, Nicole Richie spoke those wise words…and I’d like to add carcinogenic to her list.
The Brazilian Blowout was all the rage last year. It became known as the professional frizz-eliminating treatment that was gentler and safer than its predecessor -- Japanese straightening. But true to theory, as one of the good things in life, the Brazilian Blowout is now apparently carcinogenic as it contains formaldehyde.
Thankfully, there’s a new pro treatment that’s quicker and safer. The Keratin Complex Express Blow Out is a one-hour, in-salon process that infuses keratin proteins into the cuticle to make strands smoother and less frizzy. The main difference between this treatment and the Brazilian Blowout, aside from the fact that the formula really is supposed to be formaldehyde free, is that it smoothes and de-frizzes but doesn’t straighten and flatten the hair.
Nicole enlisted me to try out the Keratin Complex Express Blow Out at Chicago's Studio 110 salon to see if it really works.
Full disclosure: I have relatively straight hair with a little bit of bend. But I also have a lot of breakage, which creates a lot of flyaways, so I was excited for this service. First, my hair was shampooed, conditioned, and given a quick tousle with a hair dryer. Then, the keratin solution was applied to my hair in small sections using a brush like the one used to apply hair dye. Next, the stylist went back over my strands with a fine-toothed comb and a flat iron to help the keratin fully penetrate my strands. When I left the salon, my hair looked shiny/slightly greasy and stick straight/flat (see the above pic). I was told to keep it dry and elastic free for 8 hours—not 3 days like other keratin treatments out there. Whew!
After my first wash, I air-dried my hair and was thrilled with the result -- there weren’t any frizzies in sight. My hair still had its natural shape and curvature, minus the straggly, frizzy flyaways. Talk about a miracle! The Express Blow Out lasts about 5-6 weeks and is a fraction of the cost (about $100) of the full-fledged Natural Keratin Smoothing Treatment that lasts up to 5 months.
My verdict: The Keratin Complex Express Blow Out is great way to give conditioning treatments a try without the commitment. And it’s not immoral, illegal, fattening or carcinogenic.
